‘Der fliegende Holländer’ by Wagner | Cycle: Symphonic Concerts at the Palau

—Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès & Planells Schiaffino

Una producció de la Fundació Òpera a Catalunya

Der fliegende Holländer is one of Richard Wagner’s first great operas and already contains all the elements that would define his musical language: the power of fate, redemptive love, and music of great dramatic intensity. Inspired by the legend of a sailor condemned to wander the seas for eternity, this opera immerses us in a world of passion and overwhelming atmospheres.

With a powerful staging and a top-tier cast led by Maribel Ortega and José Antonio López, this new production by the Òpera a Catalunya Foundation features musical direction by Josep Planells Schiaffino and includes the participation of the Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell Choir.
