With a career in full international ascent and a growing connection with the Palau audience, Jaeden Izik-Dzurko —this season’s recipient of the Alicia de Larrocha Scholarship— offers a recital that invites deep and nuanced listening. The Canadian pianist presents a programme of elegance and lyrical richness, featuring Medtner’s Sonata-Idylle —a work full of light and subtlety—, Schubert’s expansive Sonata D. 894, and Schumann’s Fantasy in C Major, marked by restless lyricism and boundless imagination. Three visions of Romantic introspection, performed with a sensitivity that has already made its mark on the modernist hall.
